merliss asked: I assume the initial run of cards is spoken for? (I can never seem to find them in your store)

I don’t actually have the cards yet, which is why you don’t see them in the store. The minute I get all the Kickstarter orders out the door I will be selling Borogove in my store!

korybing:

My sister got my proof copy of Borogove! I can’t wait to get back to Portland and get my greedy little hands all over them!

I’m trying to get the 13x19inch Borogove posters printed on my Canon Pixma, but I’m having a hell of a time getting the colors just right. I had to shrink the cards significantly as well to fit on the posters. HMMMM. I can’t decide what I want to do here.

I finished my Borogove cards yesterday! Here are four of the bazillion cards I’ve made (okay it’s like 54 cards) to entice your curiosity! They’ll be available for purchase as soon as the Kickstarter orders are finished! I’m aiming for early 2012!

Card games are cool. Kory Bing’s Borogove card game, featuring Lewis Carroll-inspired art, is especially cool.

Oh hey I didn’t know Kickstarter had a tumblr. Since they posted this publicly I see no reason not to reblog it and share a couple unseen cards with you fine folk.

korybing:

The tentative box design for Borogove. I’m not 100% sold on the copy yet.

korybing:

The Hare/Rabbit suit of Borogove has been finished!

korybing:

The inks for the rabbit/hare deck of Borogove! I haven’t decided how I’m going to finish these off yet as far as color goes. I’ll have to experiment!

korybing:

The inks for the entire Jabberwock card suit. Maxomes (one), Twonsies (2), Thrisewise (3), and Snicker-Snacks (4) are the cards that make up each suit, and there are 13 suits in all! I haven’t thought about colors yet. The purple isn’t the finalized color.

korybing:

Now I’m working on the box! This is still a SUPER ROUGH work in progress so I hope nobody thinks this is the finished box or nothin’!

(edit: I SHOULD MENTION THAT SFÉ HELPED ME OUT A TON WITH THIS, SHOULDN’T I?)

More color designs. I think I might be getting there. Thoughts?

Working on the back of my Borogove cards again. I decided to nix the previous incarnation that just had “BG” written over and over in favor of simple doodles of all the suits. What do y’all think? What is your favorite color combination? Any suggestions?

I put “KB” in the circle for the last one because I felt like it needed something in it and all I could think of were my initials but if anybody has an opinion on that I WELCOME IT AS WELL.
